Works with the hosting you already have.

If you can log in to it, LayerAssist can usually work with it. There’s nothing to install on your computer or your server.

Hosting panels

If your hosting company gave you a cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin login, that’s all LayerAssist needs. You don’t need to know what all those icons do.

Your own server

A Linux VPS or dedicated server, or a Windows server or PC, reached over SSH (PowerShell on Windows). LayerAssist can set it up, install what you need and keep it running.

File access

An FTP account is enough to fix many website problems, like a broken plugin or a bad settings file.

Domains

LayerAssist checks where your domain points and which company handles your site and email.

Any website

Even without a login, it can check whether a site responds, how fast it loads and whether its certificate is valid.

Apps with an API

Connect an application’s API to check its status or make supported changes.

Where to find your login

  1. Look for the welcome email from your hosting company. It usually has the panel address, user name and password.

  2. Log in to your hosting company’s website. Most show a “cPanel” or “Control panel” button.

  3. Still stuck? Ask LayerAssist. It tells you what to look for with your provider.
